Our perfect idea of a post-wedding honeymoon involves sunshine, relaxation, stillness.
Oh how lucky we were to find ourselves at Temple Farmhouse, which ticked all of these boxes and then a hundred more.
Less than 30 minutes drive from the bustle of Byron, this one of a kind haven is perched upon a hill in the Byron Hinterlands.
I remember turning off onto the driveway when we arrived, the Farmhouse could be seen up in the distance, and I turned to Kirk, “Wow, I cannot believe a place this beautiful actually exists..”, mouth wide open..
Temple Farmhouse can sleep up to 9 x guests, with 4 x bedrooms and 3 x bathrooms, but we had this entire space to ourselves to make our home for a few nights.
We felt so at peace and calm at Temple, and fell in love with every single tiny little detail and how Alita has decorated and styled each room.
Timber, leathers, neutral’s, mosaics, throws, we left with so much home inspiration and envy!
A huge kitchen space with all of your dinner party needs meant that we were able to cook up all of our own meals, and have no reason to leave at all during our stay.
We stocked up with local foods and produce in Bangalow, and spent our nights cooking up a feast, and sipping away on red wine,
We woke to enjoy smoothie bowls on the outside deck area, watching the sunrise over the rolling hills.
The outdoor space was filled with wooden swings, hammock’s, hanging chairs, and endless cushions and blankets.
Alita had organised a welcome Hamper from Harvest Newrybar which was a beautiful thoughtful touch, filled with delicious dips, cheeses, fresh bread, crackers, nuts, chocolates, and fruits.. a divine afternoon snack by the pool!
Being in such an ultra private location, Kirk and I decided Temple Farmhouse was also the most picturesque spot for us to do our own little post-wedding shoot,
So we got dressed up, loved up, and danced the night away together on the lawn area, watching as the sunset before us, getting a little snap happy,
We couldn’t have dreamt up a more beautiful place to spend our first few nights as husband and wife, and are already planning our next stay.
With an abundance of private land and open living space, we would love to come back to Temple Farmhouse with a few of our nearest and dearest, host a little weekend getaway and just enjoy each others time, and of course the peaceful energy and endless green views.
Whether it’s a romantic weekend away, a family adventure, or a small and exclusive event, we think that Temple Farmhouse is the most gorgeous hidden gem that Byron has to offer xx
